The Pavement List

This is a brand new site where you can share your experiences with pavement contractors. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly!

Your privacy is assured however we do require that you provide us your name, the address where the work was performed, and an e-mail address. This information will remain private, your comments when displayed will only be indentified by your Initials (like J. Smith or Paula J.) & general location (not a street address).

HOWEVER: We must have this information in the case of a legal dispute about your comments. If your comments are disputed, and in order to keep this site honest, we may contact you and ask that you fax or mail a copy of a receipt, cancelled check, or whatever proof you might have that the contractor you named did in fact, do the work for you that you are commenting on. If we cannot obtain this information and a contractor disputes the post it will be removed.

This works both ways:

If it is praise or "good" comments it keeps contractors from having family or friends "cram" the list with false praises.
If your comments are negative it provides proof that the was, in fact, done by the contractor and it's not some competitor out to smear another contractor's reputation.
Because of this if you paid "cash" with no receipt of any kind please do not submit a comment. (It does happen although you should NEVER pay cash or make a check to anything but a company name-not a person's name)

We welcome comments on all kinds of pavement work. From new paving to repairs & maintenance. Asphalt, concrete, decorative or whatever. New construction or repairs and or maintenance. Even snowplowing or other related work.
You have probably heard of the different types of contractor lists out there however we charge no fees like them and some of those lists are not reliable. None are devoted solely to the pavement industry.

So we want your comments and don't be shy. Someone always has to go first. This is a brand new site and since it is a free site provided by individuals with an interest in the pavement industry but not affiliated with any corporation, publication or such we can't afford the TV advertising and other ways of attracting traffic that the big "lists" have to get this going. So we are relying on you, the pavement customer to relate your experiences for the benefit of others looking for information.

So if you have had asphalt paving or concrete paving done, or if you have had a driveway or parking area sealcoated, parking lot stripes painted, or other work done; as long as it was a paving contractor of some type you can p9ost your comments here.

For Now the listings will be in alphabetical order. As the list grows it will be broken down into states and still in alphabetical order.
To start we will only accept posts from the USA and Canada. However who knows where this may lead since there are pavement contractors everywhere.

PLEASE don't be shy, we need posts to get this thing going and make it useful for other people to find the good contractors and avoid the bad. If you do not have the name and address of the contractor please provide the license plate number of the vehicle they were driving or any other information that might help someone identify them if they "stopped by" with a bit of asphalt left" or some such. These posts will be placed in a special section for "address unknown" or "drive by" contractors. Also please tell your friends about this site if they have had pavement work done.
